I wonder if you have plans to travel……
Perhaps you are going somewhere you have been before – a place where you relax as soon as you arrive, where you are comfortable and where you know what to expect. Or perhaps, you are planning to go somewhere unknown, a place for exploration and adventure. Maybe you are the sort of person who plans everything, has an itinerary and researches the places you will visit. Or you are someone who likes to go with very little planning and preparation, ready to see what happens and to enjoy the excitement of the unknown.
The Christian faith is often described as a journey, and as with holidays, we will all approach the journey differently. The gift of journeying together as a church, is that we learn from one another and gain from each other’s knowledge and wisdom. Just as you might pack a good novel, or perhaps a guidebook, for a holiday, we have the Bible – which is both and more besides!
Whether you have been a pilgrim of faith for a long time – a well-versed traveller, with lots of experience who is seeking to go deeper; or someone who is considering whether this is a journey you want to take, we would love to welcome you at St Polycarps, where week by week, we seek to learn, laugh, cry, share and journey together. Whether you want to join us for our weekly Sunday services, or Messy Church, or you would like to join one of our many activities that happen during the week, all the details are on these pages – so have a look and come along and see if you would like to join us.
